- Revelation 4:9-11 - And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
- 1 John 5:14-15 - And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- Ephesians 3:20 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Do you have a correct image of our heavenly Father? How do you see the Lord? Our view of God affects three important areas of our lives: 1. Prayer. As we get to know the Lord better, our desires begin to align with His, and our prayers become more in tune with His will. As we realize His greatness and power, we believe more that He can do great things through us. 2. Behavior. Understanding His holiness and goodness impacts our lifestyle. We think that if God is like this, it is to our benefit to joyfully obey Him. As we desire righteousness, we repent of sin quickly. 3. Faith. Realizing that Jesus is holy, good, and powerful strengthens our trust in Him. Knowing our magnificent God and remembering His great works further strengthens our faith. Do you truly know the loving and holy heavenly Father? He wants us to have a close relationship with Him. But as in any healthy relationship, time and an intentional approach are needed so that we can understand Him and learn His ways. Make knowing Him your priority—and watch how your prayers, behavior, and faith change.
