God’s grace is immeasurably greater than our failures. (Romans 5:20)
Scripture shows us that God wants the best for us. He is patient and merciful, for He is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Many believers can testify that God waited and gave them chances repeatedly before they came to Christ.
Romans 3:10–18 clearly shows the godless condition of man: no matter how hard we try in our own strength, we cannot be sufficient. But, thankfully, God's grace is greater than our sin.
God is a righteous Judge and cannot overlook sin. Therefore, He showed His grace not just in word, but in deed: He opened the way of salvation through Jesus Christ. Whoever believes in Jesus is forgiven, accounted righteous, and finds peace with God (Romans 5:1). In the Father's eyes, it is as if we have never sinned.
Jesus is our second chance. Without Him, there is no salvation, no grace. “Because thy lovingkindness is better than life (beautiful), my lips shall praise thee” (Psalm 63:3). Let us give thanks to the Lord today for this magnificent grace.
