- Matthew 6:20-21 - But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
- Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- Galatians 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
The Lord does great things through our small acts of kindness.
What does it mean to serve God? Many of us have a wrong idea about service, and because of that, we miss the opportunities right in front of us. For example, we think that only being a missionary or preaching matters. These are important, but the truth is that serving the Lord often consists of simple things that happen in our daily lives.
Do not underestimate what God is doing in your seemingly ordinary day. Whether it is volunteering in the community, loving a new neighbor, caring for someone in need, or listening to someone with attention and compassion—all of these are very valuable. You may count them as small things, but for God, they are significant.
What you say to people, how you treat them, and how you react to difficulties are like treasures laid up in heaven—through these, God reveals Himself to the world. When you live a righteous life, love people, and show kindness, mercy, and gentleness, you are a witness of Him.
How is God carrying out His purpose through you? Before starting your day, pray like this: “Lord, I choose Your way. Let Your will be done in me—no matter what.”
When you do this, unexpected things will happen in your life—God will bless you abundantly.
