- Psalm 126:1-6 - When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
- Isaiah 55:11 - So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
When you faithfully share your testimony, God uses it to touch others. We love inspiring stories. Stories of people who received a second chance and changed often capture our attention. But not everyone's story is dramatic. Most of us are simple people. Sometimes believers think their testimony is uninteresting or of little value because they are "ordinary." But that is not true. A personal testimony is simply telling what God has done in our lives and what He continues to do. Even if our story doesn't seem as impactful as someone else's, God will deliver it to the people who need to hear it. Imagine a six-year-old girl accepting Christ. As she grows, she tells her friends about God's love and how the Lord opened the Gospel to her in childhood. At 80, she will tell of the long years spent with Jesus. Her testimony may not seem "grand," but it is a true spiritual treasure. Whatever your story is, God can and will use it. You don't know how far your testimony might reach. God has said that His Word will not return empty (Isaiah 55:11). And the story of Jesus' redeeming grace is always worth sharing.
