- Hebrews 5:14 - But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
- 2 Peter 3:18 - But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
In the modern world, it is possible to do many things faster. But spiritual growth cannot be rushed. Growing in Christ is not an instantaneous event, but a journey. After a person believes in Jesus Christ and accepts eternal life by grace, God continues to work in their life and helps them grow spiritually.
Unfortunately, some believers do not mature spiritually. Some do not seek instruction, while others do not pay attention to the Word of God, prayer, and fellowship with believers. But the Lord wants us to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).
As we get to know God more closely, we learn to trust Him more, discern the truth, and live with inner peace and assurance. Spiritual growth does not make us "more saved" — we are already fully accepted through Christ. But as we walk with the Lord, we come to know His love, wisdom, and faithfulness more deeply.
Therefore, continue to spend time in the Scriptures, in prayer, and in fellowship with believers. God will faithfully continue the work He has begun in your life and will lead you to know Christ more intimately.
