- Romans 1:21 - Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
- John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God has revealed Himself to humanity and desires for us to have a personal relationship with Him. Yet, not everyone accepts His invitation. When God is not at the center of our lives, we can lose our direction. We search for something to fill the void within us, but we often fail to realize that only God can fully meet this need. In the hope of finding meaning in life, we chase after money, success, relationships, or achievements. We pour our time, strength, and love into these things. However, nothing this world offers can fully satisfy the human heart. The joyful truth is that our Heavenly Father wants to have a relationship with us. For God so loved the world that He gave His Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. This invitation is open to everyone. Look around you. You can see traces of God in the beauty of creation, in moments of unexpected grace, and in the feeling deep in the human heart that there must be a greater truth than this. God is inviting you to draw near to Him. If you have been putting off responding to this invitation, consider what you are missing. A relationship with God grants a person peace, the meaning of life, and joy. He is ready to receive you with love.
