- John 8:31-32 - Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
- Hebrews 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
- 2 Peter 1:4 - Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
- 2 Thessalonians 3:3 - But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
God wants the best for His children. However, sometimes wrong habits, ways of thinking, or sinful behaviors prevent us from living the abundant life He has prepared for us. Today's verses show the way out: if we remain in God's Word, we will know the truth, and this truth will set us free. Remaining in God's Word means reading the Holy Scriptures regularly, meditating on them, and applying what we learn to our daily lives. As we do this, we will more deeply understand the blessings we have in Christ: Our position (because we believe in Jesus Christ, we can boldly approach the throne of God), His provision (God's Word gives us wisdom, direction, and encouragement in life), His promises (as we trust in God's promises, our lives are shaped according to His character, and we become partakers of His divine nature), and His protection (as we live in obedience to Christ, God strengthens us with His power in our struggle against trials and sin). Freedom begins with being honest before God. Confess everything that hinders your spiritual growth and stand firm in the truth of God's Word. Trust in His promises with faith. God is always ready to help every child who turns to Him.
