The Truth about the Trinity
Bible Readings
- Galatians 4:4-6 - But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Although the word “Trinity” is not explicitly written in the Bible, its truth is clearly taught. God is one, but He exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
These three possess exactly the same divine attributes — they are all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipresent, eternal, and unchanging. But at the same time, each has a unique role. • The Father planned salvation and directed everything for its accomplishment. • The Son – Jesus Christ fulfilled this plan by coming to earth and giving His life for our sins. • The Holy Spirit guides people to truth, convicts hearts of sin, and transforms the lives of those who accept Jesus.
These three persons work in perfect harmony with each other so that we may be saved and transformed.
Stop for a moment today and think: how has each member of the Trinity worked in your life? The Father loves you, the Son has saved you, and the Holy Spirit is transforming you.
Give thanks to the Lord for this truth and live trusting in Him.
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — I thank You that You work together in my life and save me and transform me. Amen.
My hope is in Jesus, because the Triune God loves me and works for me.
