The Value of God's Word

All Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, is inspired. Today's verses state: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (verses 16–17). There is no other book so valuable for life.

The Old Testament introduces us to God's nature, ways, and power. It shows God's holiness and how much humanity needs a Savior. The New Testament explains that Jesus, by sacrificing Himself, became "the way" to the Father for us (John 14:6). These Scriptures clarify why we must trust Christ for salvation, how to live as children of God, and what to expect in this life and after death.

God's Word is one of our greatest sources of hope, and we should embrace it with joy. It is full of counsel from beginning to end, leading to victory both in this world and in eternal life. Therefore, it is wise to take time each day to meditate on the Scriptures.

Whether it's five minutes or an hour — spend time with the Father in His Word. He wants you to understand His words, apply them in your life, and experience the depth of His great love.
