We are blessed to be a blessing to others
Bible Readings
- 2 Corinthians 9:8 - And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
- Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
The blessings God gives us are not meant to stay with us alone. He wants these blessings to reach others as well. This principle applies to all areas of life, including our finances. Our Heavenly Father has a plan for our money, too.
The Lord gives us income so that we can meet our needs and some of our desires. But at the same time, He expects us to use these opportunities for His purposes. One of those purposes is sharing with others.
The promise in 2 Corinthians 9 is powerful: "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." This verse reminds us that sharing with others does not make us poor. On the contrary, in response to our generosity, the Lord increases the fruit of our righteousness and enriches us even more. Simply put, we can never outgive God.
Hoarded blessings never bring as much joy as the ones we share. When you use what you have to meet the needs of others, you show how God’s grace works in your life and you bring glory to Him.
Therefore, do not let the blessings God has given you stop with you. Share them with others and experience the joy of never-ending blessings.
