- Isaiah 40:7-8 - The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
- Psalm 32:8 - I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
God is faithful and unchanging—therefore, we can trust in His promises, act with courage, and be at peace. Jesus said that we would experience difficulties in this life, but God has provided His children with tools so that trials will not destroy us. For example, He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within believers, to guide them, and to strengthen them. Additionally, He gave us the privilege of prayer so that we can both stay in communion with Him and bring our needs to Him.
Today, let us focus on another great gift of His—Holy Scripture. The Word of God is unchanging truth. The Bible is full of thousands of promises—promises that we can rely on with complete confidence. God wants us to study these promises and not miss the blessings He wants to give us.
We can return God's words to Him in prayer. For example: “Lord, You said that You would instruct me. I trust in You—show me Your way and be with me in this situation.”
When difficulties come, a firm foundation is needed. Remember: God is faithful and does not change. Trust in His promises—this will give you peace and help you take steps with courage.
