- John 17:18-21 - As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
- Matthew 20:28 - Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Take a moment to pause and ask God to show you the people around you who need encouragement and hope.
Often, people mistakenly think their lives have no real purpose. But this is not what God intended for His children. Therefore, let us look to Jesus Christ to learn how to think and live. The Scriptures clearly show that His arrival was not accidental, and His time was not spent in vain—He came with a specific purpose.
In the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly stated that He was "sent" by the Father. This word indicates a clear purpose and direction. Jesus did not just appear—He was sent into the world for a specific mission.
What was that mission? Matthew 20:28 shows that Jesus did not come to conquer, but to serve. His life was a clear mission: to reveal the Father, to give His life for sin, to save the lost, and to bestow abundant life—all of this was part of His purpose.
Regardless of where He was, who He was with, or what He was doing, the Lord always remembered His purpose. And just as Jesus was sent by the Father, we too are sent by Christ—to bring His message of hope to the world.
Is this purpose visible in your life? As you serve the Lord today, ask Him for clarity and focus.
