- Revelation 20:11-15 - And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
- 1 John 5:11-12 - And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- Ephesians 1:5 - Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.
Jesus paid the penalty for sin and gave us the opportunity to live eternally with the Father in heaven.
From the moment we are born, a countdown for our life has begun. Every passing moment brings us one step closer to meeting the Lord face to face. Each of us will one day stand before Him, and our eternal destiny will be determined.
The only way to obtain eternal life is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Sin has separated us from the Father. But the Son of God solved this common problem: Christ lived a perfect life and then died on the cross, becoming a sacrifice for the sins of all humanity. Three days later, He rose again and defeated death. When we believe in what He did for us, we no longer have to live separated from God.
To receive this magnificent gift, it is enough just to believe in Jesus Christ and His work. As a result, we become a new creation, are accepted as children of God, and enter into an eternal relationship with our heavenly Father.
Are you sure where you will spend eternity? Maybe you think you will deal with it later. But do not put this matter off. Turn to the Lord today and believe in Jesus.
