- Lamentations 3:21–23 - This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
- Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Our faith is not built on feelings or mere wishes. It stands upon unchangeable truths about God. Let’s look at some foundational pillars of the Christian faith: 1. God exists: Faith begins with a simple truth: God is real. He exists and He is truly God. 2. God is love: He is deeply interested in your life and desires a relationship with you. 3. God is just: His justice is perfect, even when He disciplines us in love. 4. God is omniscient: He knows your heart, your pain, and your questions. Nothing surprises God. 5. God is omnipresent: Wherever you are, God is right there with you. 6. God is omnipotent: Nothing is more powerful than God. No matter how large your problems may seem, it is possible to overcome them through His power. 7. God is faithful: Even if a person turns away from Him, God does not abandon them and is ready to welcome them back.
When doubts arise or life shakes you, return to these truths. For they are firm and unchangeable.
