- 2 Corinthians 3:5 - Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.
Paul never claimed that he could fulfill everything God called him to do in his own strength. On the contrary, he learned to look beyond his limitations and rely on the sufficiency of Christ. We, too, can see the blessings hidden in our weaknesses.
Our limitations point us to God. When we realize that a situation is beyond our power, we can turn to the Scriptures and prayer to receive guidance and strength.
Recognizing our need prompts us to trust in God's power. God never intended for people to do everything on their own. We only become capable when we rely on the inexhaustible power of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to work through us.
God often uses ordinary people to carry out His plan. In this way, He shows that great works are done by His power. There is no limit to what God can do through a person who is ready to surrender to Him.
Acknowledging our need also tests our faith. Paul says, "Our sufficiency is of God" (verse 5). Those who, trusting in this promise, step out in obedience will grow in faith.
Let the Lord work through you. Trust Him and allow the life of Christ to be manifested in you. He will replace your anxiety with peace and tranquility.
