When doubts arise, God gives the believer eternal security through His promises. Many believers experience doubts about their salvation from time to time. However, the Holy Scripture teaches us clear truths on this subject.
1. God wants all people to be saved. He calls everyone to believe in Christ through the Gospel. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ is accepted by God into His eternal family.
2. God saves man only by grace, through faith. Salvation is entirely God's gift. It is neither earned by human works nor maintained by them. Our part is simply to believe in Christ and receive the eternal life He gives.
3. God wants the believer to be sure of their salvation. If doubts arise after committing a sin, it is not God's voice. God has already provided the way of salvation through the finished work of Christ and calls believers to rest in that promise.
If doubts come today, trust not your feelings, but God's unchanging promise. Eternal life is Christ's gift, and He never takes back what He has given.
