- Psalms 27:11-14 - Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
- John 16:13 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Learning to see obstacles as opportunities takes time. When barriers arise, our natural reaction is often frustration or fear. However, remembering God's faithfulness helps us view our situation more accurately. It is important to remember these truths:
God is at work. Even if we cannot see it, He continues to carry out His plan. The Lord either opens a way around the obstacle or shows us how it fits into His greater purposes. This does not mean that every difficulty is a specific test sent by God, but it does mean that God is with us even in the midst of trouble, and He is at work.
God equips and guides us. The Holy Spirit living within the believer helps us understand the truth and directs us. Whether we receive guidance gradually or all at once, the Lord wants us to rely on Him, not on human wisdom.
God invites us to participate. Moving forward despite obstacles requires courage. We must be patient as we wait for God to act and reveal His plan. Faith enables us to entrust the outcome to God.
Obstacles do not disappear just because we trust in the Lord, but our perspective on them changes. When we remember these truths, we can face obstacles with confidence, knowing that even if we cannot see it yet, God is already at work.
