- James 4:7-8 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
- Luke 23:34 - Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
- Psalm 119:97 - O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
We all want to see signs that we are growing in our faith. But these signs are not always big and noticeable. Most of the time, they appear quietly in the ordinary situations of our daily lives. Spiritual growth is often visible in our relationships. Where we used to hold grudges, we begin to forgive. We show patience toward people who previously exhausted us. Think of our Savior: for the very people who were crucifying Him, He prayed for God's forgiveness. Such love is not our natural trait; it is the fruit of a life increasingly shaped by God's presence. Growth even changes what brings us satisfaction. Over time, we find less satisfaction in what the world offers and more satisfaction in drawing near to God. As our trust in Him deepens, we better understand how faithful He truly is. This, in turn, invites us to trust Him even more. Finally, obedience stops feeling like an obligation. This joy is not born of a sense of duty, but of love—it is the natural response of a heart that has personally known God's goodness. These are not results we should try to achieve on our own. These are signs of the work God is already doing within us. Intentionally plan time in God's presence and watch how good things take root in your life.
