The God who gave David victory over Goliath is with you today. Yesterday, we saw David go into the valley with nothing but a sling, five stones, and most importantly, the assurance that God was with him. When God calls us to a task that feels bigger than what we are prepared for, this is the exact assurance He gives to every one of His children. In Isaiah 41:10-13, there is a promise expressing God’s special care. The Lord spoke these words to a discouraged people whose future seemed uncertain. Today, He comforts those who are unsure if they can overcome the challenges standing before them with these same words. Let's note: what does God not promise? He does not promise that the path will be easy, that we will always feel confident, or that we will never stumble. He promises something better: His presence, His strength, His help, and His hand that sustains us. Whatever the Lord has placed before you—a difficult conversation, a long season of waiting, or a challenge you feel incapable of handling—you are not forced to generate courage from within yourself. The God who sustained David in battle sustains you today. It is God’s power, not your own, that makes it possible to take the next step. Truth for today: God does not leave you alone on the path He has called you to. His presence and power are your support for every step forward.
