Righteousness and Glory
Bible Readings
- Titus 2:12 - Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Christ remains my righteousness. He is faithful as my righteousness, unchangeable, and never-ending. It is this grace that teaches me to deny ungodliness – everything that is not of God and incompatible with God. It doesn't teach me to justify my falls; it teaches me to rise after them.
My righteousness is not that I never fall; my righteousness is always and only in Christ. Because the Father has placed me in Christ, I can rise when I fall – and I do rise.
My glory is not that I never fall, nor is it in rising. All glory belongs to Christ. I am covered with glory in Him. The life of Christ living in the Spirit is glorious.
God is infinitely patient with me, and I must learn to be patient with God. His ways are not my ways. I am the clay, and He is the Potter. If I break myself, God makes me whole in Christ.
I am called not to impress you, but to love you. If I love you, you can be amazed by Christ. In terms of righteousness, He is completely sufficient. God has no need to add anything. I am saved by faith.
Thank You, Jesus.
