- 2 Corinthians 10:10 - For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
Human nature often focuses on its weaknesses. When we look at ourselves, we often see only our shortcomings and mistakes. Imagine for a moment what would have happened if Paul had focused only on his weaknesses. In this verse, it is clear that some considered him weak and unimpressive in his speech. If Paul had believed these words, we might not have a large part of the New Testament today. Do not allow your weaknesses to stop you from the path to which God has called you. Yes, it is difficult for all of us not to focus on our weaknesses, but if a person looks only at their weaknesses, it can distance them from God's calling. Learn to trust God and His help. God can work powerfully even through our weaknesses.
Reflection
What weaknesses are trying to keep you from God's calling, and how can you surrender them to Him today?
