- Hebrews 12:1-3 - Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
- Ephesians 4:11-12 - And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
- John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
- John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
God has given every believer spiritual gifts, abilities, and opportunities to live according to His purpose. Unfortunately, many people live without realizing the plan God has prepared for them and do not understand that true satisfaction is found only in Jesus Christ. Sometimes, even believers who have followed the Lord for a time begin to drift away from Him. There are various reasons for this: becoming discouraged in the face of difficulties, or having one's heart attached to the values of this world, the desire for success, entertainment, or excessive busyness. Whatever the reason, if Christ is not first in our lives, our spiritual life cannot grow healthily. The Lord has given believers an abundant life, but this is not a promise of a life without problems. A truly full life is possible only when we abide in God's Word, live according to His truth, and grow in our relationship with Him.
