Following God often leads us through unfamiliar and uncomfortable territories, yet He faithfully guides us toward His good plans.
Many of us can look back and recall moments when God called us to step beyond our comfort zones. Perhaps it was a call to forgive someone, to act generously, or to step into an unfamiliar situation. Such calls can feel daunting and even overwhelming. But in reality, these are signs that God is drawing us closer to Himself.
Our natural inclination is to set boundaries around the areas where we feel safe in following God. Even if we don’t say it aloud, sometimes our heart whispers, “Lord, I will trust You here, but not there.” This is an honest and human reaction, and God is not surprised by it. However, because He loves us so much, He doesn’t allow us to settle for a small life story. Because He has a greater and more magnificent plan in mind for us.
When God calls us beyond our self-imposed boundaries, He isn’t testing us — He’s inviting us into deeper trust. No matter how far we’ve come, there are always undiscovered aspects of God’s goodness. Every new step we take in devotion is an opportunity to experience His faithfulness in ways we never imagined possible.
Christian life is not about arriving at a particular destination. It’s about following God. The One who leads us knows the way, loves us along the path, and has already prepared everything that lies ahead. All that’s required of us is to take the next step.
