Obedience is not a one-time agreement; it is dedicating our entire lives to following God.

Psalms 1:1–6

Scripture not only declares God's great power and majesty but also reveals His profound mercy and love. It is clear that God is worthy of our wholehearted and sincere surrender to Him. He is pleased when we choose to follow Him in complete obedience, regardless of circumstances.

Notice the phrase "firm resolve" in today's heading. Obeying the Lord is not just a decision we make according to our current situation. It is a path of surrender and obedience that encompasses our entire lives. Our human nature wants to set certain boundaries for obedience. We want to change our minds when our plans are disrupted, when we cannot see the outcome, or when we are afraid. But God has promised that He will never leave us (Deuteronomy 31:6) and that He has good purposes for us (Jeremiah 29:11). Therefore, we can obey with confidence, entrusting the outcomes to Him.

Psalm 1 speaks of learning God's Word not as a chore but as a source of life. Such deeply rooted obedience does not happen by chance. It develops as we stay close to the Scriptures, are sincere in prayer, and turn back to God after stumbling.

When Christ becomes the Lord of our lives, the main question becomes: "What does God want me to do?" Following Him completely helps us grow spiritually and ensures we stand firm even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
