Sometimes God calls us to tasks that seem impossible from a human perspective. When Moses was given the assignment to go to Pharaoh and lead Israel out of Egypt, his first reaction was: "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh?" He saw his own weaknesses clearly: a fugitive shepherd with only a staff in his hand was to stand before the most powerful ruler in the world. But God's answer was simple and sufficient: "I will be with you." The Lord did not promise Moses that the work would be easy, nor did He promise to give him some special human strength. He promised His presence. When God calls us to a difficult task, we often wait for the obstacles to disappear, for our abilities to increase, or for the path to be completely clear. But God's answer is often the same: "I will be with you." When Moses asked more questions, God revealed Himself as "I AM WHO I AM" — the eternal, Self-Sufficient God. This God, who needs nothing, does not just guide His people from afar; He promises to walk alongside them. The greatest gift is not just God helping us in difficult tasks. The greatest gift is God Himself and His presence. For every believer, this presence is constantly ensured by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within us. This does not mean that all circumstances will change instantly. But it does mean that we are never alone. God's presence gives us peace, strength, and the courage to move forward.
