- Matthew 12:30 - He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Yesterday we talked about worldview. A worldview influences how a person views the world, makes decisions, relates to others, and their life in general. In reality, there are only two worldviews: 1. A Biblical worldview, 2. Everything else. This may sound very simple, but it is what the Bible says. Today's verse shows that a person is either with God or against Him. This means that either the foundation of our decisions is God's Word, or it is not. Either God defines what is true and right, or other sources do. "He that is not with me is against me..." (Matthew 12:30). This verse shows that if we are not walking with God, we are actually walking against Him. We may not consciously want to oppose God, but if we are not actively following His path, we end up under other influences. Therefore, when making decisions and looking at the world, we must ask ourselves: am I approaching this situation with a Biblical perspective, or not? Is my thinking shaped by God's Word, or by the opinions of friends, social media, television, and human thoughts? Think about this today. Do you give space to Biblical thoughts in your life? Do you trust God as the source of truth? Or do you trust more in the opinions of others? Decide to seek what God says first in life matters, and let His Word be the foundation of your worldview.
Reflection
Is God's Word truly the foundation of the decisions you make, or are other factors influencing you?
