- 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
- John 14:10 - Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Have you ever felt discouraged while trying to live the Christian life? If your efforts to change the world for the better seem fruitless, looking at the Lord's example can change your perspective. Christ served people with love, and His deeds had a great impact on the world. What was the secret of His success? The Scriptures say that Jesus did not speak or act on His own initiative, but rather trusted the Father who lived in Him, and the Father accomplished His work through Him. As His children, we are called to do the same. True service is given, carried out, and blessed by God. Our hands may work, but in reality, it is the Father Himself who is acting, and all the glory belongs to Him. What a great comfort this is! The Lord is not just looking for very talented or influential people. He uses anyone who allows Him to act in their life. We can be sure that He will provide everything necessary to accomplish any work He expects from us. Who can serve the living God? In fact, none of us can do it by our own strength. True service only happens when we allow the Almighty God to act through us. We are simply vessels in His hands. Even if the results are not immediately visible, we can trust that God is always fulfilling His purpose.

What task are you ready to accomplish today, not by your own strength, but by allowing God to act through you?
