- Proverbs 3:13-18 - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
- 1 Corinthians 1:25 - Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
God's wisdom not only reveals Him to us, but it also guides our lives and protects us. Human wisdom has its limits. It cannot be compared to the wisdom that comes from God. Scripture says that even what seems to be the "foolishness" of God is wiser than human wisdom. Living in God's wisdom brings many benefits:
* Knowing God more deeply. The Lord is active in every area of our lives. The better we know His character, the better we will understand His perspective, see how He works in our lives, and be able to respond to events according to His will. * Clear guidance. God sees everything, and His perspective is eternal. He knows what we need to fulfill His purpose in our lives and to handle the challenges we face according to His will. * Divine protection. When we seek God's wisdom instead of relying on our own understanding, we are protected from decisions that lead us away from the best path He has prepared for us. His wisdom not only helps us discern what is in line with His will, but it also protects us from paths that lead to harm.
Knowing God, receiving His guidance, and experiencing His protection cannot be achieved through human wisdom. All of this comes from our Heavenly Father, and He generously grants His wisdom to everyone who believes.
