At certain moments in life, everyone experiences anxiety and fear. But the good news is that we don't have to be enslaved by these feelings. Those who believe in Christ have both the means and the Helper to be freed from these bonds.
To confront fear, we must first acknowledge its presence. After admitting that we are afraid, it's important to try and understand the cause of our anxiety. Although sometimes we may not fully know why we are anxious, the Holy Spirit can reveal the reason that binds us.
The next step is to break the power of this fear. One of the most powerful tools for this is the Word of God, "the sword of the Spirit" (Ephesians 6:17). In the Holy Scripture, there are many answers to specific fears. It is very beneficial to find and cling to Bible verses that speak directly to our situation.
When you feel fear, you can say Isaiah 41:10 to God as a prayer: "O Lord, You have said, 'Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' I believe this promise, for You never lie. In this situation, I trust in You."
Trusting in the Lord is the surest way to be freed from fear. Our feelings can be powerful, but we must not allow them to control our lives. We can trust in God's numerous promises and know that we are safe in His loving care.
